MANIFESTACIONES CUTANEAS EN PACIENTES INFECTADOS CON H.I.V

Resumen

La infección por HIV, constituye una enfermedad infecto contagiosa, causada por un agente viral perteneciente a la familia Retroviridae y a la subfamilia Lentivirinae, la cual presenta una significativa morbimortalidad que va en rápido ascenso.
Se estudian las manifestaciones mucocutáneas de esta infección en 23 pacientes evaluados en el Servicio de Der-matología del Hospital Militar "Dr. Carlos Arvelo".

SUMMARY

The human immunodeficiency virus HIV infection is a highly lethal new epidemic which is increasing very rapidly, mainly among young homosexual men.
After demonstrating antibodies to the human immuno-deficiency virus HIV, we studied the cutaneous manifestations of 23 patients examined at the dermatology department of "Dr. Carlos Arvelo" Military Hospital.
