RHINOSPORIDIOSIS EN EL ESTADO BARINAS 1980 - 1990

Resumen

La Rhinosporidiosis, es una rotación micótica producida por Rhinospoiidium seeberi, mundialmente conocida y se presenta con cierta frecuencia en nuestro país, especialmente en los Estados.;Barinas y Portuguesa.
Se estudiaron 10 casos de Rhinosporidiosis, que se presentaron en el Estado Barinas en el- periodo 19801990, los cuales ingresaron al servicio de Dermatología del Hospital " Dr. Luís Razetti" del Estado Barinas, corroborándose cada caso por Anatomía Patológica, e implementándose tratamiento quirúrgico con excelente evolución; este estudio permitió concluir que se trata de una patología que afecta la población joven del sexo masculino, no transmisible de persona a persona, sino probablemente a través de aguas estancadas o vegetación acuosa especial; invade principalmente la mucosa nasal o conjuntiva ocular, aunque han sido descritas

SUMMARY
Rhinosporidiosis is a mycotic infection produced by Rhinosporidium seeberi. It is known all.l over the world and frequently appears in Venezuela, especially in Barinas and Potuguesa states.
Ten Rhinosporidiosis cases ~s cre studied; they were located in Barinas state during the period 1980-1990 and were attended., att the Dermatology Service- of "Dr. Luis Razetti". Barinas General Hospital. Each case was verified h\ Pathology Anatomy; surgical treatment was implemented and excellent evolution was obtained.
The results of the study permits to pointoret the conclusion: that it is a pathology which affects the young male population. It is not transmittable from person to person but probably through, the effects of stagnated waters or special aqueous vegetation. It affects primarily the nasal mucous or the ocular conjunctive though another different localizations have already been described.
