Resumen
El Carcinoma Basocelular es el tumor maligno más frecuente en la piel humana, especialmente en la raza blanca y en personas mayores de 60 años. Conocer su comportamiento clínico e histológico, permite aplicar la conducta terapéutica mas adecuada para cada paciente. El propósito de este artículo es revisar la epidemiología, los factores de riesgo, etiopatogenia, cracterísticas clínicas e histologicas; así como, las distintas modalidades terapéuticas.

Abstract
Basal cell carcinoma is the most frequent type of human skin cancer, afecting mainly white people and patients older than 60 years of age. The knowledge of the clinical and histological aspects of it, allows the best therapeutic approach for each individual case.The aim of this study is to review the epidemiology, risk factors, etiology, clinical and histopatological aspects as well as the therapeutic approaches for this pathology.
