TINEAS INFRECUENTES EN NIÑOS*

Resumen

Las Tineas dermatológicas, con excepción de la capitis, son
consideradas como raras en los niños, tal como lo demuestra
la literatura especializada.
El objeto de este estudio fue observar la frecuencia de Tinea
ungueum, pedisy cruris en la población pediátricae
identificarlos agentes causales, también, analizar la influencia
de otras variables tales como, el tipo de calzado usado y las
posibles fuentes de infección.
ABSTRACT
The dermatophytes or tineas with the exception of the capitis,
are considered to be rare in children, in relation with what has
been previously reported in the literature.
The objective of this study is to observe the frequency of tinea
unguium, pedis and cruris in the pediatric population and to
identify the causative agents; also to analyse the influence of
other variables such as the type of shoes used and the
possible sources of infection.
