SARCOMAS CUTANEOS: UN ESTUDIO COMPARATIVO CLINICO-PATOLOGICO

Resumen

Los-sarcomas cutáneos representan un: grupo de tumores
malignos que crecen en tejido mesenquimático, son raros, y
han sido reportados-en la literatura quirúrgica, médica y
patológica En este estudio revisamos las biopsias realizadas
por el Servicio de Anatomía Patológica del Hospital Militar
"Carlos Arvelo" desde 1980 hasta 1996. Se diagnosticaron 35
casos de sarcomas cutáneos y revisamos sus características
generales. Los tres más frecuentes fueron el fibrohistiocitoma
maligno, el dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans y el liposarcoma.
Se estudiaron las características clínicas e histopatológicas de
los 14 casos tratados en el Servicio de Dermatología.

ABSTRACT:
Cutaneous sarcomas belong to a group,of malignant
neoplasms that arise from mesenchymal structures. This
tumors are uncommon and have been reported in.the surgical, médica¡, and pathology literature. In this study, we reviewed the biopsies made by the Pathology Department of the Military Hospital "Carlos Arvelo" between 1980 and 1996. We found 35 cutaneous sarcomas in 16 years. We reviewed their general features. The most common were malignant fibrous histiocytoma, dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans and
liposarcoma. We also reviewed the clinical and,pathology
features of the 14 tumors treated by the Dermatology
Department of the hospital.
