Resumen

El Síndrome de uñas amarillas es un desorden poco frecuente, de etiología desconocida, caracterizado por la triada de uñas amarillas, linfedema y alteraciones respiratorias tales como: Sinusitis, Bronquitis, Derrame pleural, infecciones respiratorias a repetición, etc. Los cambios ungueales pueden preceder por varios años al linfedema y a las alteraciones respiratorias. Es más común en adultos. Se presenta un caso en una adolescente de 16 años
de edad, quien presenta cambios morfológicos ungueales desde la infancia, asociándose posteriormente edema de miembros inferiores, sin alteraciones respiratorias en la actualidad. Se hace revisión de la literatura.

ABSTRACT
The yellow-nails syndrome is an infrequent disorder of unknown etiology, characterized by the triad of yellow nails, lymphedema and respiratory alterations such as: sinusitis, bronchitis, pleural effusion, repeated respiratory infections, etc. The ungueal changes may precede lymphedema and respiratory alterations by severa) years. It is most frequent in adults. We present the case of a 16-year-old adolescent who has shown ungueal morphological changes since infancy, associated subsequently with edema of the lower limbs, without respiratory alterations at present. The relevant literature is revised.
