LEPRA Y EMBARAZO FENOMENOS REACCIONALES Y RECAIDA A PROPOSITO DE DOS CASOS

Resumen

El embarazo disminuye fisiológicamente la inmunidad celular en la mujer para proteger al feto; este hecho puede precipitar la aparición de lesiones de lepra, empeorar la enfermedad o
producir recaídas en pacientes ya tratadas. Sin embargo, la
lepra no tiene efectos graves sobre el embarazo. Presentamos 1 caso de una paciente curada de lepra con recaída durante el embarazo y otra con exacerbación de lesiones y aparición de eritema nodoso leproso durante la gestación.

ABSTRACT
During pregnancy there is a phisiological decrease of the cellular immunity in order to protect the fetus; this fact can precipitate leprosy lesions, aggravation of the disease of relapse in treated patients. Nevertheless leprosy doesn't affect seriously the pregnancy. We report one cured leprosy patient who relapsed during pregnancy and another with aggravation of the disease and erythema nodosum leprosum during pregnancy.
