TUBERCULOSIS CUTÁNEA

Resumen

El resurgimiento de la Tuberculosis, incluyendo la
forma cutánea, está relacionado mayormente con la
epidemia del SIDA aunque otros factores
encontrados especialmente en países
subdesarrollados juegan un importante papel.
Esto ha traído un renovado interés por un mayor
conocimiento de la enfermedad.
En el presente trabajo, se revisan los diferentes
factores epidemiológicos que inciden en el aumento
de la Tuberculosis cutánea, se revisan también las
diferentes formas clínicas, diagnóstico diferencial,
clasificación, patogenia, métodos diagnósticos y
terapéutica, en un intento por actualizar el tema.

SUMMARY
The resurgence of Tuberculosis inclusively cutaneous
tuberculosis has been closely linked to the AIDS
epidemic but others risk factors specially in non
industrialized countries are still potent forces.
As a result of this factors there is a new and deep
interest on this illness.
It is the purpose of this article to describe the salient
features of cutaneous tuberculosis including
epidemiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, differential
diagnosis of many other skin disorders and treatment
with an emphasis on those aspects most relevant to
the practicing clinician.
