Resumen

Describimos el caso de una paciente femenina de 78 años de edad, natural del Estado Portuguesa y procedente del Estado Miranda, quien fue hospitalizada por presentar úlcera localizada en antebrazo y brazo derecho de 2 1/2: años de evolución. Los estudios inmunológicos y micológicos fueron compatibles para .Sporothrix schenckii . Recibió tratamiento oral con yoduros, calor local y fisioterapia. Evoluciona satisfactoriamente, pero fue inevitable la anquilosis del codo.

ABSTRACT
We are presenting a 78 year old female admitted at the Department of Dermatology of our hospital with a 2 1 /2 years history of an ulcerate hyperthrofic granulomatous lesion on the right elbow. Mycology and Immunology studies report Sporothrix schenckii. Satisfactory response to oral saturated solution of potassium iodide, local hyperthermic treatment and physiotherapy. Ankylosis of the right elbow was inevitable.
