El Lupus Eritematoso es una enfermedad
inflamatoria, heterogénea, que puede presentarse en
pacientes en edad pediátrica. Se realiza el presente
estudio retrospectivo de los casos pediátricos con
diagnóstico de lupus eritematoso, que fueron evaluados
y controlados en la Consulta de Dermatología Pediátrica
del Hospital Universitario entre Septiembre 1989 y
Septiembre 1994, haciendo énfasis en la presencia
de manifestaciones cutáneas. Se comparan los
resultados con la literatura nacional e internacional.
ABSTRACT
Lupus erythematosus is an inflammatory and
heterogeneous disease that can affect pediatric patients.
The present work evaluates retrospectively, pediatric cases
of lupus erythematosus which have been seen at the
Pediatric Dermatology Unit at the University Hospital of
Caracas between September 1989-September 1994. The
presence of cutaneous manifestations is emphasized. A
comparison of the results to the national and international
literature is done.
