Antioxidantes como compuestos quimiopreventivos del cáncer cutáneo.

Resumen

En esta revisión se presentan los estudios realizados de ciertos antioxidantes utilizados para prevenir el cáncer de piel. Se destaca las diferentes rutas y mecanismos de acción sobre este órgano y sus componentes celulares, las formas de ingreso, vía ingesta, disposición alimentaria, y tópica. Se describe en cuales etapas, iniciación, promoción y/o progresión del cáncer son efectivas como moduladores de los sistemas de protección celular frente a radicales libres y especies reactivas de oxígeno.
