La notalgia parestésica (NP) es una condición neurocutánea de etiología desconocida, la cual es sub diagnosticada en la práctica clínica, por su similitud con otras dermatosis. Cuando el paciente acude a la consulta dermatológica, ya ha sido evaluado por diversos especialistas, sin obtener un tratamiento efectivo. El dermatólogo es quien finalmente realiza el diagnóstico y le coloca el nombre a esta entidad. Existen pocos casos reportados y en Venezuela la serie más grande es de 8 casos. Se han propuesto múltiples opciones terapéuticas con resultados poco satisfactorios. En la actualidad, los más prometedores son: gabapentina y toxina botulínica A. Presentamos el caso de una paciente femenina con NP asociada a osteopatía secundaria a traumatismo, el tratamiento indicado y su evolución.

Paresthetic Notalgia: the anonymous pruritus
Summary
Paresthetic notalgia (NP) is a neurocutaneous condition of unknown etiology, which due to its similarity with other dermatoses is under-diagnosed in clinical practice. When the patient goes to the dermatological consultation, he has already been evaluated by various specialists, without obtaining an effective treatment. The dermatologist is the one who finally makes the diagnosis and
puts the name of this entity. There are few reported cases and in Venezuela the largest series is 8 cases. Multiple therapeutic options with unsatisfactory results have been proposed. At present, the most promising are: gabapentin and botulinum toxin A. We present a female patient with NP associated with osteopathy secondary to trauma, the indicated treatment and its evolution
