CHANCRO BLANDO, SU TRATAMIENTO CON SULFAMETOXIPIRIDAZINA

Resumen

El CHANCRO BLANDO fue tratado en 66 pacientes, desde los 15 años de edad
hasta los 56, con 3 gms. de SULFAMETOXIPIRIDAZINA (Lederkyn),
administrados en 4 días; 1,5 gms. el primer día y 0,5 gms. en los 3 días sucesivos.
Solamente 4 pacientes fueron femeninos.
Más de la mitad de los pacientes (39) eran asintomáticos a los 8 días del
tratamiento.
En algunos pacientes con "BUBÓN" (Adenitis-periadenitis-fistulización) la
dosis fue aumentada a 6 gms. si al 4º día no había mejoría.
No observamos efectos colaterales indeseables en ningún paciente.
SUMMARY
SULFAMETHOXYPYRIDAZINE, (Lederkyn [R] *) was used
satisfactorily in the treatment of 66 patients (aged from 15 to 56 years old), with
CHANCROID. Only 4 were females.
The most effective dose was 3 grams, 1.5 g. on the first day and 0.5 g. on
three succeeding days. Patients with. Inguinal abscess ("Bubo") may require 6 g. of
the drug.
No side effects were observed even in patients who received 6 g. of the
drug.
