EL LUPUS ERITEMATOSO SISTEMICO, Su etiología aparente y sintomatología insólita Presentación de un caso con úlceras crónicas de piernas

Resumen

Después de una breve introducción a la etiología y manifestaciones
del Lupus Eritematoso Sistémico (LES), el autor expresa, de una manera
general, las dificultades clínicas encontradas para el diagnóstico del mismo y
en particular de la sintomatología cutánea, señalándola por orden de
frecuencia para justificar el error diagnóstico cometido 

en una paciente con úlceras crónicas de las piernas, de cuatro años de
evolución, quien había sido tratada como Tromboangeitis Obliteranté. Se
resumen al mismo tiempo los datos clínicos, de laboratorio, los
diagnósticos presuntivos, el diagnóstico definitivo y el tratamiento de la
paciente en cuestión.
SUMMARY
After a brief introduction of the etiology and clinical manifestations of
Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) the author refers to the difficulties
encountered in general practice and dermatology to mak the clinical
diagnosis of the affection. Emphasis is placed on the numerous
cutaneous signs and symptoms that must be suspicious at the primary
consultation and refers to a patient of SLE with chronic leg ulcers regarded
as Tromboangeitis Obliterans during four years. The clinical and
laboratory data, the differential diagnoses and the diagnosis of SLE as
well as the treatment of the patient are reviewed.
