ACAROS Y ALERGIA. IDENTIFICACIÓN DEL DERMATOPHAGOIDES PTERONYSSINUS EN VENEZUELA

Resumen

Se señalan brevemente las relaciones entre las manifestaciones
alérgicas de asma y rinitis con la presencia de un alergeno común
contenido en el polvo de casa. Se hace referencia a la vinculación de este
alergeno común con la presencia en el polvo de un ácaro del género
Dermatophagoides.

Se identifica por primera vez en Venezuela la presencia del
Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus en pacientes con lesiones
dermatológicas se discute su taxonomía, distribución y hábitat.

SUMMARY:
There are briefly stated the relationship between the allergic
appearances of asthma and rhinitis and the presence of a common allergen
contained in the house dust. Reference is made as to the association of this
common allergen with the presence in the dust of a mite of the genus
Dermatophagoides.
For the first time it has been identified in Venezuela the presence
of the D. pteronyssinus in patients with dermatological lesions, being
discussed its taxonomy, distribution and habitat.
