MICONAZOLE PER OS EN EL TRATAMIENTO DE LA TIÑA

Resumen

Hemos administrado Miconazole (2 lotes) per os a 16 pacientes con
20 formas de tiña, ambulatoriamente. La dosis diaria ha variado entre 14 y 36
mg./Kg. de peso y fue subdividida en 2 ó 3 subdosis con intervalos de 12 u 8
horas. La tolerancia no fue proporcional a la dosis, sino relacionada más bien
con el lote del producto y con la persona. Los resultados terapéuticos indican
que el Miconazole es activo contra los dermatofitos parásitos, cuando es
administrado por vía oral. Es necesario seguir investigando la tolerancia y
medir la eficacia en pacientes hospitalizados y estrictamente vigilados.

SUMMARY
Sixteen outpatients presenting 20 topographical forms of tinea,
including 2 tinea capitis (Microsporum canis), 1 tinea barbae (Trichophyton
rubrum), 3 tinea pedis (Tr. rubrum, Epidermophyton floccosum), and 6 tinea
corporis (Tr. rubrum, E. floccosum and M. canis), have been treated with
Miconazole (2 lots), per os, with daily doses of 14 to 36 mg per Kg of body
weight. Tolerance varied less related with the amount of the doses than with
the individual patients and the different lots of the drug. Therapeutic results
afford enough evidence of the activity of Miconazole, when administered per
os against parasitic dermatophytes in humans, as to warrant further assays
with hospitalized patients, in order to strictly supervise the administration and
the effects of the drug.
