GRANULOMA VENEREO ASOCIADO A CANCER DE LOS GENITALES

El informe que es presentado en la actualidad, se refiere a un grupo
de pacientes con lesiones genitales, la mayoría hombres, en quien se efectuó
el diagnóstico de granuloma venéreo basado en la comprobación del agente
causal y por otra parte, se constataron en cortes histológicos alteraciones
epiteliomatosas de tipo espino-celular, en diferentes grados de avance. Estos
hallazgos de concurrencia de las dos afecciones en una misma área cutánea o
mucosa, los cuales fueron señalados hace unos años por Mc.Kay,13
Alexander,1 Saltztein,17 Rajam,16 y Goldberg,8,9 han vuelto a tener vigencia
debido al incremento incidental de la enfermedad venérea en referencia,
observada últimamente en algunos países, entre ellos el nuestro.
SUMMARY
The actual report is the study of a group of 14 patients, integrated by
11 mens and 3 womens ho had genitals or peri-genitals ulcerations in which
was verified association of venereal granuloma and carcinoma. The diagnosis
of gramzlomatous infection was demostrated by the identification of
Donovania granulomatis in smears taket from ulcerative lesions and stained
by Giemsa method, and moreover, in the study of histopathology of biopsys
taken from same sites, was found tipical alterations of squamous cell
carcinomas in variable grades.
The patients'äge was: 4 under 30 years, 3 betwen 40 and 50 and 3
above 50 years old. With regard to the time of evolution of the disease also
was observed significative variants: in 5 patients the lesions hat less than 6
months and in 5 the begining was over one and half year. The short lapse was
2 months and the longest 3 years.
The general state maintened well in all cases.
In relations with sexual costuras of :hens, two was homosexuals; the
others, including the older of 50 years revelated frecuents sexual .ontats with
prostitutes and the coitus was effectuatet by the vaginal or rectal routes. I
relations with the womans, one of they was prostitute and the other two had
sexual contacts only with her husbands.
