HISTOPLASMOSIS DISEMINADA Reporte de un caso con lesiones cutáneas, bucales y rectosigmoideas.

Resumen

Se reporta el caso de un paciente de 57 años de edad, con histoplasmosis
diseminada con localización recto sigmoidea, tratado con Anfotericina B y seis
meses después el paciente permanece asintomático.

SUMMARY
A case of recto sigmoideal histoplasmosis in a 57 years old Venezuelan male
patient is reported. Through the review of the pertinent literature only 3 cases of
the same localization have been found diagnosed, one of them premortem and
two at the necropsy. The treatment wich Amphotericin B resulted entirely
satisfactory. The negativization of signs and symptoms was attained after 3
months; treatment was pursued, however, until completing six months. The
patients kept asymptomatic six months after dismissal.
