INVESTIGACION DE LA INFECCION BLENORRAGICA EN UN GRUPO DE EMBARAZADAS CONSULTANTES DE LA MATERNIDAD "CONCEPCION PALACIOS"

Resumen

La información actual se refiere al estudio efectuado en un grupo de
embarazadas consultantes de la Maternidad Concepción Palacios, con la finalidad
de indagar la infección blenorrágica, utilizando el cultivo de material tomado de
diversos sitios generales y perigenitales.

SUMMARY
The present study was conducted to investigate the grade of genital infection
by Neisseria gonorrhoeae in a group of pregnan women consultants of
Maternity "Concepción Palacios". The group comprised 438 women of differente
ages, Smear of material from cervix, urethra and rectum were inoculated
directly in culture plates with selective Thater-Martin medium. In the women
with ages under 20 years the grade of infection was 41,9%; in the ages
between 20 and 30 years was 36,3% and in the older of 30 arrived at 48,7. In
total, in 438 pregnan women examined, was found 40,4% of gonococci infection.
